About Children's Learning Center

The present system of ‘mainstream’ education is built upon monotony and rote learning, and survives by promoting monoculture and status quo. It’s a system of unidirectional flow of knowledge from the teacher to the students. This system obstructs the processes of creative, critical and imaginative thinking in children. It was to work on these processes that CLC was established.

CLC is an after-school learning space which intends to ignite inquisitiveness amongst children by introducing them to diverse concepts in life through art, play, discussion, videos and engaging activities.

We are also working with children to see the ecosystem with new lenses and developing their understanding for a sustainable future. Our activities revolve around subjects like environment, recycling, creative academic learning, caste discrimination, and gender discrimination through workshops, theatre, movies, games and other less common means of teaching and learning.
